Smith Family

The Smiths! Another Peruvian-American family. They are sweet and gorgeous and they help with the mission in Trujillo by leading the music and facilitating internet communications. Such a fun family!

Trujillo, Peru

In Trujillo we worked with Peru Mission. I was commissioned to shoot 6 different pieces ranging from typical Trujillo images (see below) to their commercial woodshop project to missionary family shoots. It was a great time, and I'm glad I had something useful to offer the mission. Now here's some images around and about Trujillo:

One of the missionary interns, Sam Love, took Chris and I all around the city. He has lived in Trujillo for about a year now and has some favorite spots that show the real, gritty side of Trujillo...not just the spots where tourists flock.

The city is full of interesting architecture.

The markets are really amazing in Peru. They are colorful and dirty and full of really cheap fresh food. I love it.

The market shoot was my favorite. Sam asked a couple of market sellers if we could take their pictures.

Corn. Important staple in Peruvian food.

Beautiful, huh.

We couldn't leave without getting some butcher shop photos. Love this one.

And here's Sam!

We've wanted to do this for a long time and we're finally doing it! We'll be in Peru for 5 more weeks until June 5th. We will be checking email daily and we have an internet phone line where you can reach us anytime: 404-461-9559.

Savannah Wedding With Diana Nash

Hello all, I just wanted to post a few shots from last weekend's wedding. What was forecasted to be a rainy day turned out to be just the right light for great outside photos. With a full mass ceremony at St. John's Cathedral in Savannah and outdoor reception at Ships of the Sea, it was a beautiful wedding day to shoot. I'm sure Lisanne and David are in marital bliss as I am typing this, they are an inspiring couple as they are both doctors and have spent some time helping out overseas. Hope you enjoy! Check out the Diana's Eye View at http://diananash.wordpress.com/.

We Float To The Kings'

Well, this is the season of the long awaited "Float". After renting out our house in Savannah, Chris and I have been a bit homeless with the goal of catching up with friends and family...there's something about living with people even if just for a couple days that just brings you closer. In our float to Savannah I had the chance to play dress up with my good friend and amazing harpist, Kristin King... Before her birthday bash last night, I gave her a birthday makeover including hair cut, style and make up (I absolutely love giving hair cuts:)... then she worked it for the camera a bit, she's such a natural! I love this girl!
