Trujillo, Peru

In Trujillo we worked with Peru Mission. I was commissioned to shoot 6 different pieces ranging from typical Trujillo images (see below) to their commercial woodshop project to missionary family shoots. It was a great time, and I'm glad I had something useful to offer the mission. Now here's some images around and about Trujillo:

One of the missionary interns, Sam Love, took Chris and I all around the city. He has lived in Trujillo for about a year now and has some favorite spots that show the real, gritty side of Trujillo...not just the spots where tourists flock.

The city is full of interesting architecture.

The markets are really amazing in Peru. They are colorful and dirty and full of really cheap fresh food. I love it.

The market shoot was my favorite. Sam asked a couple of market sellers if we could take their pictures.

Corn. Important staple in Peruvian food.

Beautiful, huh.

We couldn't leave without getting some butcher shop photos. Love this one.

And here's Sam!

Ava In Peru

Hola Amigos!

My husband and I have arrived safely in Peru! We are here in a small mountain town called Cajamarca to teach English, spread the gospel, and help out where we can. We've wanted to do this for a long time and we're finally doing it! We'll be in Peru for 5 more weeks until June 5th. We will be checking email daily and we have an internet phone line where you can reach us anytime: 404-461-9559.
Here are a few photos of our trip thus far, you can see more photos at www.CravaBlog.blogspot.com
